The Feline's Return
The title I'm giving my post makes me feel like one of those bad sequel movies my beans are always watching, but hey...
Back after so long--it's really strange. It reminds me of how much I missed writing about my life!!!
I know it's been more than a year, but life hasn't really changed much here. I'm still struggling with Poki, but I'm not so harsh on him as I used to be. I'm stuck with him, and he's stuck with me, and there's nothing I can really do about it.
Also, living with Shadow is a real joy! It used to be really hard for him, living in alleys (or at least, I thought so) but I think he's really taken to being inside, even though he still spends most of his time outside exploring suburbia.
His blog hasn't been updated in a really long time, but I don't know. Maybe he's forgotten about blogging :).
Here's our latest crisis: another cat keeps coming by the house and poking around outside.
NO! After all the trouble I had adjusting to Poki, I simply will not stand for another cat encroaching on my life! Even Poki doesn't like the cat. He has a mean face and he's attacked both of us.
Luckily, my bean doesn't like the cat either. She named him Rufus, because she doesn't like the name Rufus.
How I wish for the day when he'll stop coming by!
Also, there's a mockingbird that has taken to swooping on all of us when we're outside. Mom (appropriately) calls it Swooper, and it is absolutely the most vicious mockingbird I've ever put up with. I'm getting older and staying inside more, but Poki and Shadow are constantly outside, so they have to deal with that stupid bird ALL THE TIME. I don't envy them, but I'm almost sure they're coming up with some plan to take that bird down.
I know that since I haven't been on for such a long time that most of my original readers barely even remember me, but I hope you'll come back because believe it or not, I'm still here.
Purrfectly sincere,
Felissa

Update
It's been a long time, hasn't it?
I've been (although I hate to say it) worried about Poki. He's been disappearing for long stretches of time now; several hours. I don't know where he goes, but apparently it's far away.
I've also found out some amazing news! Shadow's going to live here now! We've been making arrangements for awhile now, which is why I've been gone so long.
You can probably expect to see an update to Shadow's blog too.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Where I go is none of your business!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
That was Poki. He's actually here for the moment.
Anyway, I should be posting more often now. Sorry I've been gone so long

Another Cat

This is Felissa. Totally sorry about the gigantimus amount of time I took posting again, but you see, I've been trying to work out an agreement about Poki. He's not getting a blog of his own...at least, not yet. But he is getting a chance to write on Shadow's new blog.
Speaking of Shadow, he's doing well, but still hasn't found a human.
Right now, I just have a question to ask: could you please, please, please, PLEASE visit my forum? Shadow joined, but no one else has!
http://mykittanworld.21.forumer.com
Also, I'm told that my human might get ANOTHER cat! Having Poki around is bad enough, but I'm getting used to it. I don't know what I'll do if my humans get ANOTHER one! Please! Can you give me some advice???

Poki Rides Again
Well, everyone seems jazzed that Shadow got his own blog! Isn't it cool? But I don't think Felissa would be too happy if I got my own. I'd be in BIG trouble. I don't know what she has against me, though. I'm just an adorable kitten. At least until May. Then I turn one! I'll be an adult!!!
Anyway, my crazy buddy, Cleo, has some cool cat pics she'd like to share. Sooooo...

Yep, that's her.

She got into the food. She's such an imp!

She's a cute imp, at that.

Caught in the middle of licking herself. A little embarrassing, eh?
Well, that's all for now. Hopefully will be back soon; Felissa's coming.

Shadow's New Blog
I feel it is my responsibility to tell everyone something: Shadow has a blog of his own now.
You may not have noticed that there is a widget called 'The Shadow Cat' on the blog now. It's to keep updated when he adds more. The address is:
http://shadowvice.blogspot.com
It can also be found in the Purrfect Links section.
I made sure that I could keep writing about him on here, since I want to keep updated, but I am going to miss his little column. He was such a nice addition to the blog. Meanwhile, I hope you enjoy his blog.
Purrfectly Sincere,
Felissa

Shadow's Corner
Y'ello everycat! It's Shadow again!
I really appreciate all of your concern from my bout of food troubles. I was down in the dumps for a long time about Macaw, and this (believe it or not) helped me deal with the loss. I feel a lot better now.
But many of you have been suggesting that I need to find a furrever home. I have pondered that as well, many times.
It snowed yesterday. In Richmond, that's a very unusual thing to happen in April. Generally, you're expecting too much if you think it'll snow past late February. As a result of all this snow, it got very cold outside. Felissa invited me to stay inside for awhile.
I took that invitation. It's very different from being outside in the snow. It has a cozy, comfortable feel about it. I wonder if maybe I should find a home...
But until that happens, I'm still the feral cat you always knew. And now I kno which house to stay away from with all the cat food troubles.

Good News and Bad News
Y'ello everycat out there.
Well, the good news is that I found Shadow. He's not gone forever.
The bad news is that I found him in the hospital.
I guess you're wondering what happened. OK, I'll tell ya.
As a concerned cat blogger, I have heard a lot about the rat poison found in the pet food.
Shadow is a feral cat, and as such, he has to find a lot of his food on his own. He happened to stumble upon some cat food that someone left outside. Disgusted though he was at eating food provided by a human, he was very hungry.
So naturally, he ate a bite. Not the whole thing. Just a bite.
A few days later, my owner took me to the vet:-( and I happened to pass by Shadow's room. I ran in their, to the horror of my bean, and found him lying there. I thought he might be dead. After all, rat poison is (duh) poisonous. But by some miracle, he must have eaten so little that he pulled through.
He's okay now, but he's still going to be at the vet for a few days. I just wanted to update for all you cats out there that have been concerned about him.

Shadow's Gone!
He's gone missing! I can't find him anywhere!
He's a feral cat, so it might seem understandable. But I know all his favorite haunts. I often go with him! He hasn't been feeling much up to outings with me, though. At least, not since his buddy, Macaw died.
I haven't seen him in at least a week, and I didn't think anything of it. I thought he was just grieving or something like that. You know how tomcats are: they like their space.
I'm almost convinced he's run away. But how exactly can I find him? I wish he would have come to me so I could help! What am I supposed to do?

Pix
For the first time, you can actually see the cats who made it all possible.
This is me.

This is my annoying little roommate, Poki.

What an adorable little evil prankster. See why he's never the one they expect?
Also, Mice Beware!!! one of my new readers, was kind enough to contribute her photo and that of her roommate, Cleo.

This is her. Can you believe she's almost 22 years old? She looks so youthful!
And this is her unusual companion, Cleocatra (also goes by Cleo)

Shadow is a little camera-shy, but I think I managed to find a picture somewhere.
Well, you've seen the gang. My human doesn't have a camera, so these pictures were hard to come by.

199 Out of 100

Hiya! I looked on the top 100 cat sites and mine is rated 199! Well, it's at least less than 200.
P.S. I'm really bored of being the only one who writes on the A Cat's Life Forum so can anycat go to this link just to keep me company? I'm on there as Felissa Calico.

Thank you all for helping me reach my amazing rating (well, it's amazing to me just starting out!)

The Ceremony
To my Divine Feline friends,
I've been having a little trouble with Blogger lately, so sorry that I haven't posted.
For whatever reason, Poki's posts aren't showing up (oh well).
It was a beautiful ceremony. We said our goodbyes, dug a hole, and buried Macaw next to the street he was hit on. We wish him all the best in kitty heaven.
Also, purrhaps you saw the picture Poki added to the blog. I have no comment. I'm just not going to say anything.
I'll talk to Shadow and see if I can get his take on everything. If not, we'll see.
Chances are this is one chicken who isn't crossing the road for a while.
Your Feline Pal,
Felissa ~_^

On Behalf Of Shadowvice

On behalf of Shadowvice, I want to thank the kind cats who have posted fur all their interest and concern. Shadow was a little squeamish about adding to the blog; I think he needs a little time before he can talk about it. Ur right in that Macaw didn't suffer, radcliff, allie, luna, and ozzie, but we all suffer a little thinking about it.
Cars weigh a lot. A LOT.
karen jo, Macaw is a feral cat. We want to have a private, cat-only burial for him and we're inviting everyone he knew.
Thanx again!
Your Feline Pal,
Felissa
